Mountainverse — Terms of Use

By downloading or using Mountainverse (“the app”) you accept these terms. If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies. Where the two differ, Apple’s agreement prevails.
Copyright
The 3D mountain models were created by Mustafa Savul using open data sources. The models (their processing, terrain detail, texturing and presentation), the app and the Mountainverse name are © 2026 Mustafa Savul. All rights reserved.
You may use the app and its models for your own personal, non-commercial use, including sharing screenshots and the share pictures the app creates. You may not extract, copy, modify, redistribute, sell or reverse-engineer the models or other content of the app, or use them to build another product.
Open data
The source data keeps its own licences and remains the property of its owners. Each mountain’s details list its sources, including Copernicus DEM (© DLR e.V., © Airbus Defence and Space), Copernicus Sentinel-2 data, ESA WorldCover (© ESA), AW3D30 (© JAXA), swissALTI3D (© swisstopo), REMA (© Polar Geospatial Center), NASA/USGS data for Mars and Poly Haven textures (CC0). Mountain summaries come from Wikipedia under CC BY-SA 4.0, weather from MET Norway under CC BY 4.0, and map data © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL).
Not for navigation or safety
The app is for exploring and learning. Models, elevations, routes and weather are approximate and may be out of date or wrong. Do not use the app to plan climbs, navigate in the mountains or make safety decisions; rely on official maps, forecasts and local guides.
Purchases
If the app offers in-app purchases, they are sold through the App Store (or Google Play) under its terms. Purchases can be restored from the app on any device signed in to the same account. Refunds are handled by the store.
Changes and availability
We may update the app and add, remove or change mountains and features. We do not guarantee that the app or its downloads will always be available or free of errors. If these terms change, the current version is published at the same address with a new date.
Limitation of liability
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from its use. Nothing here limits your statutory consumer rights.
Governing law
The app is released worldwide. These terms apply together with the laws of the country where you downloaded the app. The mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence always apply, and nothing in these terms overrides them. If a dispute arises, please write to us first.
