Measurely — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 July 2026
Summary
Measurely collects no data. Nothing you measure, and nothing about the pages you visit, ever leaves your device.
What Measurely does not do
- It makes no network requests. The extension has no server, no backend and no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDK of any kind.
- It does not read, transmit, store or log the pages you visit, their URLs, their contents, or anything you type into them.
- It does not use tracking, advertising identifiers, or fingerprinting.
- It does not share anything with third parties, because it has nothing to share.
What Measurely stores
Only your own settings — line colour and thickness, the measurement units, the conversions readout, the crosshair toggle and the activation keyboard shortcut.
These are kept by Safari on your device through the WebExtension storage API.
If you have Safari extension syncing enabled in iCloud, Apple syncs them between
your own devices; they are not readable by us. They contain no personal
information.
Website access
Measurely measures elements on the page you are looking at, so it needs permission to run on the websites where you use it. Safari asks you for that permission, per site or for every site, and you can change or revoke it at any time:
- macOS — Safari ▸ Settings ▸ Extensions ▸ Measurely
- iOS / iPadOS — Settings ▸ Apps ▸ Safari ▸ Extensions ▸ Measurely
That access is used only to draw the measuring overlay and read the layout of elements in the page. Nothing read from the page is stored or sent anywhere.
Retention and deletion
Since nothing is collected, there is nothing to retain, request or delete. Your settings live on your device and are removed when you uninstall the app. You can also clear them at any time with the Reset to defaults button in the extension’s settings panel.
Children
Measurely is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including minors.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this same address with a new date at the top.
